I follow my friend into the gym. And pretend to be on my phone while she talks to one of the trainers. You know. Keep a low profile and what not.

No dice.

The trainer turns to me. Are you interested too?

I smile and shake my head. What can I say? People can’t take a hint anymore.

Are you sure? We have a great success record. We’re known for keeping our members accountable.

I look at my friend. Then back at the trainer.

Accountable eh?

The trainer nods, beaming.

And I close my eyes. Yeah no. That sounds awful.

There's no accounting for taste and this didn't appeal to the exercise taste buds.

Just at the moment, though, we're moderating them so there might be a slight delat before they appear.

Since Friday Flash Fiction began in September 2013, 100-word stories have remained its 'beating heart'.

Normally, 100-word stories are scheduled for 07.00 BST (GMT in the winter) on the following Friday. However, where a large number of stories (more than 25) are due to be published on the same day, we publish a second batch around 10.30am. On the rare occasions where there are more than 50 stories, we'll post an earlier set, probably around 5.00 UK time.
