The two females talked about almost everything from accommodation problems to raising their off-spring. The older of the two then changed the subject.
“How’s your new mate?”
“I got rid of him.”
“That was quick! What happened?”
“I just loved him to death, that’s all.”
“You didn’t waste much time did you?”
“Of course not. Life’s too short to waste on losers.”
“I know. But still, you killed him because he didn’t measure up? People get life sentences for such things you know.”
The two females laughed.
“It’s a good thing you’re just a spider then.”
