“It’s great to see you smiling, Dad.”
“I met a woman.”
Charles’ smile quickly disappeared as his father told him about Susan.
“Dad, she’s catfishing you. You could be her grandfather.”
“She’s thirty-one…”
“And you could still be her grandfather.”
Charles saw the sadness return to his father’s face; a sadness that consumed him for three years.
