“Will there be any joyous celebration this year in Bethlehem,” wondered John, while hoping “Peace would prevail on earth.”
It was a partially visible photo (taken by a foreign journalist) of a band of youths guarding this year’s Christmas tree in the Manger Square in Bethlehem. This historic town has reached its boiling point for eruption due to a faraway global event. Just last summer, John went around that same square to arrive at the Church of Nativity. Once inside, he paid his respect to a fourteen-point silver star within a grotto, believed to be where Jesus Christ was born.
