Paul followed the dog, carefully. Dogs always knew where there was food. There were parts of the city in which people had begun eating dogs and Paul knew soon there'd be none left to follow.
The big mutt jumped up onto the hood of an abandoned truck, then went higher, onto the trailer. It began pawing at the roof. Paul raised his bow, took aim and fired.
Paul waited a few minutes, making sure the dog was dead and that there was nobody watching. The truck would be full of food, but if not, he could always eat the dog.
