“Professor, when do we start leaving clues to the killer?” Seth asked.
“Clues should evolve naturally during the course of the investigation.”
“Do we have to catch the killer?” questioned Barbara. “Can’t she get away with it?”
“Where’s the mystery then?”
“The sleuth discovers the murderer but can’t prove it!”
“Wouldn’t your readers find that unsatisfactory? Justice not being done?”
“But she deserved to die. She was an evil person.”
