Carlos, a professional caterer, brought a large platter of his best canapés, and Eric provided a sampling of Lone Café favorites. Gordon’s colcannon raised some American eyebrows, as did the Vegemite from Oz. The Plutonian dishes didn’t suit everyone – but that was a matter of taste.
Scrupulously, MC Emma thanked all the donors by name. However, the dried-out wasabi, the petrified pita and the expired Thai peanut sauce appeared to have been anonymous donations.
