“I’m gonna finally do it,” he thought.
“We’ve always been there for you. Don’t leave us now,” they said.
“I must be free,” he thought.
“We’ve been with you through thick and thin,” they pleaded.
“It’s now or never,” he thought.
Danny took the packet out of his pocket.
He tried to throw it into the water, but in vain.
“I can’t do it.”
He took one out, lit it, and inhaled deeply.
Resigned to his fate, he knew they’d be with him till the day he died.
