We graduated in Dallas in 1962, and went our separate ways. Some years later a classmate had her ring stolen by a burglar. It ended up in, of all places, Norwich, England, in 2002, being bought by a high school memorabilia collector. She used social media to find the owner based on the school and inscribed initials. Another classmate saw the post, started spreading the word through his high school contacts, and soon, not only had the owner been found, but a whole community of former friends—and even some who hadn't known each other in high school—was reestablished.
