Today is your birthday – your seventy-fourth, so I have been without you forty years. If you had lived, my life would have been very different. I’ve been happy, as Jim has been a devoted husband and wonderful father to the girls. But you and I never got to fulfill our dreams. You would be proud of both our smart, creative, and loving daughters, and you would dote on our grandchildren, as I do. Our years together were too few, but I’m so grateful for them, and I will hold you in my heart forever.
Your loving wife
