But sweet as they may be, there comes a time they spill over. Milk frothed too high, pouring out over the rim. Leaving stains. Stains so deep they can never be washed out.
Maybe that’s why I’ve stopped going to cafes. Stopped waiting alone at our table, knowing the promise of forever faded with the froth. Little latte lies.
