Last spring, I bought a new car. It’s a hybrid. Lots of features. I’m still trying to figure out how to operate it. It’s usually quiet, but sometimes an alarm sounds. I don’t know why or what to do.
When I was a kid, we had a 1962 Rambler. It was black with a red interior and a steering wheel that looked like it belonged on a bus. No seat belts. Sitting in back was like sitting on your sofa if your sofa was upholstered in stiff vinyl. It sounded like a truck. The tailpipe spewed blue clouds of exhaust.

Your "New and Improved" story confirms my decision to keep my soon-to-be 18 year old car. It's familiar and faithful.

Like you, Don, I also bought my first-ever hybrid in the spring. I'd had my previous one for 7 years and the week before I traded it in I discovered three things that in all that time that I'd never known it could do.

Right on! Just last night I discovered features on our Cable Remote that I did not know were there! I can only imagine what a new car would be like.

I haven't attempted to alter the clock as the manuals are so humongously off putting. It will be right again in six months, I don't need the stress.😊 3/11/2019 09:53:23 pm
Thank you all. I'm glad this story resonated. Now to figure out how to reset my clock!

My family had three Ramblers over the years. One feature I recall was the fold flat seats. When we were kids my cousin and I “camped out” on those seats. But you have to wonder if they weren’t designed for horny teens. Comments are closed.
