“So, how’s assembly of the new desk coming?” Sue asked.
Ron groaned. “Don’t ask. It’s the biggest pain ever.”
“That much fun, huh?” Sue smiled.
“Ooh--hold me back,” Ron replied sarcastically. “But at least--oh, darn it!”
“What?”
“I forgot to pick up the new toy for the baby today! The store called to say it’s ready and--”
“Uh, Ron? Forget the toy.”
Curious, he followed her finger with his eyes. “Goo, goo, ha, ha, ha!” The baby was playing in the box of the desk, having a great time.
