When it got over, he took a little detour on the way to hotel through a Sal grove. The dancer soon caught up with him.

“How eloquent the silence here is!”

“That’s the reason why I frequently take roundabout route.”

“How long can you carry such quiet within you?”

“When the withdrawal symptom rears its head, I leave everything behind to stock up on such silences.”

“I recall ‘The Whale’ where the narrator speaks of his obsession to cut away from his roots and seek life’s meaning out at the sea.”

They halted awhile to commune with the prevailing stillness.

True, silence has its own eloquence. Well told, Swapan.

This story, Paritosh, makes me ponder about the peaceful, yet haunting, qualities of silence. Nicely done.

Most of us long to drift away from our roots and seek solace elsewhere. Nice story, Swapan.

In silence, the mind seeks its inner soul.
Beautifully written in soothing prose, Swapan.

Silence can be the loudest noise, or the quietest sound. Quell the noise and let nature's soft sounds soothe the mind.
