Christy tied off the bow and slid the present under the tree. Almost done...just one more stocking stuffer to go, and she was expecting that delivery at any moment. With a sigh, she let her gaze drift to the picture of her son Jacob, deployed somewhere in the deserts of Afghanistan. This would be her first Christmas without him.
Through the window she saw a white van pull up out front. Next came the expected quick knock on the door. Amazon! She swung it open to face a tall smiling young man in desert fatigues. “Merry Christmas, Mom.”

Nice feel good story, especially at this time of year. Nice ending. I got caught leaning a different direction. Enjoyed it a lot.

So sweet. Didn't realize Fed-Ex delivered the military. Thanks for the helping of Christmas cheer.
If you are old, like me, you remember the FedEx commercial where they used to say, "When it positively, absolutely has to be delivered overnight."
