I hadn’t yet told my time tour group where – or when – we were. I, however, was thrilled to be in 1920.
Unfortunately, these were 1984 Americans.
“Is this Tut’s tomb?” a red-faced man yelled.
“Yeah! Tut!” chimed a beefy teenager in a fraternity t-shirt.
I cleared my throat. “Tut’s tomb won’t be found for 20 years. This is the Pyramid of Menkaure –“
“TUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT!” the teenager howled. “Tut! Tut! Tut! Tut!” his buddies chanted. The rest of the tour stomped, whistled, and danced.
This would never do. Accessing my control belt, I hit BASE.
Couldn’t wait to see their faces.
