Today’s birthday was no big deal. He’d long ago given up celebrating the off-years. The only thing now worth the effort was the five-year increments. This day put him well into the eighties, only one year until the bash. Probably the last one. He thought he’d try to record the days using Excel, something he’d never done before. After two hours, he gave up and called to his caregiver for assistance.
