She’ll need colostrum to survive, born with no immunity, but Mama is exhausted. She lays on her side while the piglet tries to feed off of her; doesn't move when poked. In a few weeks, the piglet will be sold or discarded if she makes it, and Mama will be pregnant again. If only she could speak but that would mean danger, prison or deportation.
