Santa peered at the letter he held in his gloved hand. “I’m sure Santa will bring you a doll because you’ve been such a good girl, but I’m not sure about the other thing you’ve listed.”
“Mama said it might be a hard one to get, but I’d take just one, for Daddy.”
“Well, Santa’s not sure what a doover is. Is it some kind of cookie?”
“That doesn’t say doover. It says do over! Because sometimes people make mistakes. I’d like one so if Daddy comes back, I’ll remember to say goodbye this time.”
“Where’s your Daddy?”
“In heaven.”
