At 5 p.m., people were stampeding out of the office. Tina, a secretary, had just wrapped things up at her desk and was walking towards the exit. On her way, she saw Jeff, a coworker on crutches who had just broken his leg, and he was carrying a heavy backpack.
“Jeff! Let me help you with that.” Tina rushed forward, lifted the bag off his back, and held the door as he exited.
Jeff became teary and smiled. “That’s the nicest thing anyone’s done for me since my accident. Thank you so much.”
