The pas de deux was coming to an end. The music swelled as Clara arced through the air. My stomach twisted in anticipation. I glanced to the right; a piece of delicate white tulle drifted to the floor. I whisked it out of sight so Tiana wouldn’t get into trouble. The soft notes opening the snow scene sounded and I settled into position, ready to leap from the wings. It was like a dream.
