Jackie's listening to Lesley Gore whilst the housekeeper cleans. Why must Mum and Dad be so mean? All that rubbish about saying no and crushing dreams. All Jackie's got are tears and lots of screams! The wall calendar suggests that Friday's the night of the dance, but will Jackie be going? Not a chance. She'll be stuck at home, angry and seething, with sobs and idle threats punctuating laboured breathing.
