Wake up, Ahab, by Doug Bartlett

22/5/2020

He was violently tossing and turning, groaning so loud he woke up his wife.

“Herman, what’s wrong? Is it that awful nightmare again?”

“ Yes dear, every night and I can’t shake it.”

“I’ll call the psychiatrist in the morning, now try to get some sleep.” She makes the call first thing the next morning.

“Hello doctor, Herman’s nightmare is still recurring. Is there anything that can be done about that?”

“The next time it happens have him write it down in story form. It shouldn’t bother him again.”

“Thank you so much doctor.”

“You’re quite welcome Mrs. Melville.”
